We had a busy day at our Open Day on Friday July 29th as part of Day 5 The Land Southern Beef Week. We received great support from people both locally and regionally. Thanks to everyone who made the trip out, we had a great day. We will definitely be doing it again next year.

Coffin Creek Heifers Top Mudgee Angus Breeder's SAle

A pleasing result for Jamie & Sarah Inglis of "Havilah East" was also enjoyed by Coffin Creek Angus at the 19th Annual Mudgee Angus Breeder's Sale on Friday 22nd of April. A pen of rising two year old PTIC heifers offered by the Inglis' were awarded Champion Pen of the sale and went on to top their category at $1760. The heifers were Coffin Creek blood, joined to Coffin Creek bulls. Great to see our cattle take out the award in a large yarding of quality Angus cattle.

Coffin Creek Celebrates 25 Years
This year Coffin Creek Angus was recognised for 25 years membership with the Angus Society. Jack and Harry attended the presentation, hosted by the NSW State Committee on Saturday the 19th of March at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Coffin Creek Angus would also like to congratulate all other recipients for their contribution to the industry. The event was a great opportunity to catch up with other members of the Angus world. Bring on the next 25 years!

High Demand For Coffin Creek Heifers
Coffin Creek heifers met a strong market when offered on Auctions Plus on the 12th of February 2016. The line of 30 Angus heifers, which were pregnancy tested in-calf to low birthweight Coffin Creek bulls, started at a reserve price of $1700 and received a steady stream of bidding before selling for $2110.00 per head. We are thrilled with this sale result. It goes to show there is a premium for high quality genetics.

Paul Dooley Visits Coffin Creek
We had a great morning on Tuesday showing Paul Dooley our cow herd and sale bulls for 2016. Paul has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the seed-stock industry and we look forward to working with him this year. We are excited to have Paul take on role of auctioneer at our sale, alongside our existing agents Bill Lawson, Terry McDonald, Andy Carter and Steve Rose of McDonald Lawson Agency, Mudgee.
